Gentons Longhorn heifers hit 2800gns at Worcester

Leading the way for us at the Longhorn Society’s sale at Worcester on Saturday (15th May) was the March 2020-born Gentons U2. Sired by Riverlands Ratty, she is out of Blackbrook Ysoldie. Having taken third place in her class, she then went on to sell for 2800gns to the Maudlin Mill Partnership.

First placed Gentons Utopia

Next highest price for us was Gentons Uber, an ET son of Blackbrook Rochester out of the Bollin Eugene daughter, Fishwick Jamaica EX92. Jamaica continues to breed the goods for us having already produced Gentons James Bond and Gentons Ramses. Under was Gentons only male entry on the day and went on to take the reserve male championship. He sold for 2500gns to Messrs Harley.

Next in the ring was Gentons Utopia who stood first in her class in the pre-sale show. Utopia is a February 2020-born Riveralnds Ratty daughter, this time out of Gentons Queen. her grand dam, Gorse Quesnelia EX95, was Cow of the Year in 2018. This heifer caught the eye of C Brooks, selling for 2000gns.

Our final offering on the day, Gentons Unity, again by Riverlands Ratty and this time out of Durham MarionEX91, sold for 1800gns to D Sargent.

We’d like to wish all buyers the very best with their purchases.
